THE LEGENDS AT SAINT JOHNS, ST. AUGUSTINE, FL –
After months of anticipation, the first homeowners have moved into their
luxury condominiums in the stunning gated golf community of The Legends
at Saint Johns.

One of the first couples to purchase in the community was Willis and Mary Capo. Long-time residents of the Swiss Oaks area, the Capos were drawn immediately to the beauty of this relaxing part of St. Johns County. He a retiree of the Florida National Guard and the St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office, she a former vice president at William-Cook Advertising, desired a spacious, worry-free home close to his family’s St. Augustine roots that would allow them to be able to motorcoach across the United States for months at a time.

“My husband’s family arrived on the First Coast back in the 1600s,” said Mary. “We have a long-established history in this part of Florida, and we wanted a home that would simultaneously allow us to stay near his relatives and have the conveniences of being located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville.”

To personalize their 1,238-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom home, the Capos added tiled backsplashes, faux painting throughout, converted the second bedroom into a home office/sewing room, and replaced its closet with a Murphy bed unit for overnight guests. The Capos enclosed their patio in glass to enjoy the beautiful landscaping and stunning views year-round.

Breathtaking scenery is also what attracted Wade and Marianne Alexander. Residing on on Anastasia Island at the time, the retired music teachers and horse breeders were helping their friends find a home when they first discovered The Legends at Saint John. Immediately captivated, the Alexanders felt this was the perfect community where he could continue to write technical books and she could run Personal Ponies, a nonprofit organization she started in 1986 that allows children with special needs to care for UK Shetland Ponies.
